Kissimmee Civic Center
The Kissimmee Civic Center is as versatile a space as you will find. The first and second levels of the center are set-up for basketball and volleyball. The first floor provides access to full or cross-court basketball, two collegiate size volleyball courts and anchors for gymnastics apparatus. An automated divider curtain and railing systems are used to separate the two floors to accommodate multiple functions. The arena hosts athletic leagues and tournaments, fantasy sports camps and daily recreational users.
The arena/auditorium holds approximately 2,800 spectators on retractable bleacher seats, with an additional 600 chairs on the arena floor facing a small performance stage. The hardwood floor surface is maple and is covered with vinyl matting for non-athletic functions.
The adjoining fitness/wellness center includes locker rooms for men and women, aerobic endurance room and muscular endurance room. Equipment includes weight machines, computerized bikes, stair climbers and treadmill. A variety of aerobic and fitness classes are available, as well as personalized fitness sessions with a certified trainer.
In addition, four banquet/meeting rooms can be combined to approximately 5,200 square feet of space hosting a maximum of 400 guests. Each room attaches to a single catering kitchen that includes an ice machine, commercial refrigerator/freezer, sinks, prep space and storage. The rooms are wired for any configuration of audio and lighting needs.
The facility can accommodate a variety of special events and fun activities - events such as gymnastic exhibitions, sports tournaments, circuses, concerts, graduations, trade shows, and more. The facility is also used for weddings, parties and special ceremonies.
